Tutorials for Camtasia 4 and PowerPoint
PowerPoint can include recorded narration and be packaged as a PowerPoint presentation. The following tutorials demonstrate the steps to create the finished product, and explain options that are available.
Create Narrated PowerPoint Presentations with Camtasia - Flash tutorial that demonstrates how to record narration with PowerPoint slides using Camtasia 4. Note: if you are using PowerPoint 2007, the Camtasia Recording Toolbar is located on the Add-ins tab.
A recorded PowerPoint presentation can be edited in Camtasia. On the menu bar in Camtasia, click Help > Quick Start Videos. This gives a good overview of how to use Camtasia.
PowerPoint presentations can contain a Table of Contents. The Table of Contents is created based on the name of each PowerPoint slide. The Table of Contents may also be edited in Camtasia. A good rule of thumb: if a presentation is longer than 4 minutes, include a Table of Contents to help the viewer navigate through the presentation.
Examples of PowerPoint presentations with and without a Table of Contents:
- PowerPoint with Table of Contents - The layout of this presentation includes a table of contents on the left
- PowerPoint without a Table Contents - This presentation does not include a table of contents
