CPSrf Student Response Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
Returning Clickers for a Full Refund:
CPS clickers returned for a full refund (of the cost of the hardware only) to the Textbooks Department of the University Bookstore during the Add Period at the start of each semester with a receipt.
Refunds of Enrollment Fees (Activation Codes):
Activation Codes purchased online from eInstruction may be refunded within 15 days if you drop the class. Some restrictions apply. For details, see: http://cpsonlinehe.einstruction.com/source/useraccount/enrollment/StudentRefundPolicy.html
Exchanges:
CPS clickers come with a one-year warrantee. During that period, defective clickers may be returned. The procedure is as follows:
- Contact eInstruction Tech Support at (888) 333-7532 or http://www.einstruction.com/support and describe the problem to them
- If they are unable to resolve they problem, you will be sent an email with an attached tracking form
- Take the form along with the clicker to the Textbooks Department of the University Bookstore to exchange it
- Once you have the new clicker, log back into CPS Online as you did when you originally registered the clicker
- Click on Account Information. For each current course, change the serial number associated with your account
- In the "Pad Serial Number" column, click "change" for the course
- Click edit next to the serial number
- Change the serial number and submit
- Click "Link a Pad With a Class"
- Choose the class from the "Class(es)" menu and then click "Link Pads"
- Return to Account Information and ensure that the new serial number appears
- Inform you instructors of the change as they may need to update their rosters in order for your new clicker to work properly
